Concessions & Rebates
Are you eligible?
You’ll need the right kind of concession card (refer to links below). Plus, a concession can only be claimed if:
- you are a resident of Victoria
- the electricity account is in the name of the concession cardholder
- the supply address is the domestic primary residence of the cardholder
- the supply address is billed on a domestic tariff

Payment Difficulty
Below is information on assistance for residential customers who are facing payment difficulty.
1. Standard Assistance
If you are a residential customer and wish to avoid getting in to arrears, You can access the below assistance from Next Business Energy.
- Making equal amount of payments more often.
- Making payments at different timeframes. Eg; weekly, Fortnightly.
- Requesting for a bill extension. (You can request a bill extension once per year).
- Pay in advance.

2. Tailored Assistance
If you are a residential customer and have an unpaid electricity Invoice but can pay your ongoing electricity usage; You are entitled to the below assistance from Next Business Energy. These assistance will make it easier for you to pay your ongoing usage, repay arrears and lower your energy cost.
Minimum eligibility requirements
- You are a Victorian residential customer
- If your electricity Invoice is $55 or more and have missed the payment.
The below assistance are available to you;
- A payment plan to repay your arrears. (Up to two years)
- Different payment options available to you to repay your arrears.
- Information on your electricity use and how to lower your usage.
- Advice on government and non-government assistance.

If you are a residential customer and have an unpaid electricity Invoice but cannot afford pay your ongoing electricity usage; You can access the below assistance from Next Business Energy. These assistance will make it easier for you to pay your ongoing usage, repay arrears and lower your energy cost.
Minimum eligibility requirements
- You are a Victorian residential customer
- If your electricity Invoice is $55 or more and have missed the payment.
The below assistance are available to you;
- Next Business Energy will place a hold on debt payment for six months.
- You will be able to pay less than the full cost of your ongoing electricity usage while working us to lower your cost. Please note any amount you owe, will be added to your total outstanding with Next Business Energy.
- Information on your electricity use and how to lower your usage.
- Advice on government and non-government assistance.
