Victorian Tariff Change Opt-Out
Following a decision by the industry regulator, supported by the Victorian Government, your electricity distributor has changed your distribution tariff to one that is more cost reflective of when and how you use electricity.
As a result, the structure of your Next Business Energy electricity tariff may have changed to reflect the new Distributor assigned tariff.
If you are a Victorian residential customer, or small or medium sized business customer (using less than 160 mWh of electricity per annum), you have the right to opt out of this tariff change, and be placed on either a flat tariff or appropriate non demand tariff. This may be your old tariff, or if that tariff type is not available, an non time of use or demand tariff type. You will be placed on the rates currently applicable to the tariff you are opting to.
Exceptions apply to customers with a dedicated charger, such as an electric vehicle charger installed at their site.
You can opt out of this change now, or at any time in the future at no cost to you.
