Q. Why am I moving onto Next Business Energy?

A. Next Business Energy has recently acquired ERM Business Energy’s mainland single site SME customers. This was a natural step of progression for Next Business Energy, as we continue to strengthen within the B2B energy industry.

A. ERM Business Energy selected Next Business Energy because we are business energy specialists with competitive, transparent pricing and easy to understand billing for all our customers.

Q. Who are Next Business Energy?

A. Next Business Energy are focused on the needs of SME clients within Victoria, New South Wales, A.C.T., and Queensland. We also offer renewable and solar energy packages in addition to traditional plans.

Q. Where is Next Business Energy based?

A. Next Business Energy is 100% Australian owned and operated. Our offices are based in Sydney and Melbourne. Our customer service team is based in Melbourne.

Q. What makes NBE different to other energy providers?

A. Next Business Energy are B2B specialists, dealing exclusively with business customers.  In addition to competitive rates, smart billing and a dedicated account manager, Next Business Energy customers also have access to the NextConnect Portal, your online insights portal keeping you in control of your finances.

Q. What will happen to my existing energy plan?

A. Your current tariff, terms and conditions will automatically remain the same once you transfer to Next Business Energy. Q. Will I experience a price increase?

A. To welcome all our new customers, those who transfer from ERM Business Energy will not experience a price increase until at least April 1st, 2019. In addition, fixed price customers with contracts ending on or after April 1, 2019 will not experience a price increase for the remainder of their fixed price period.

 

 

Q. I originally became an ERM Business Energy customer via Make It Cheaper. Do I have access to any additional deals?

A. Yes! As a special welcome to all our Make It Cheaper customers, those who renew with Next Business Energy will access exclusive discounts.

Q. What should I do with any outstanding ERM bills?

A. Please ensure that you pay each invoice you receive from ERM Business Energy.

Q. When can I expect my first Next Business Energy invoice?

A. Your first invoice is issued after you have transferred and we have received a meter reading, if we have received at least 15 days of billable meter data. Any subsequent invoices are issued monthly or quarterly (depending on the frequency of the meter read schedule).

Q. How often are invoices issued?

Next Business Energy customers are invoiced using Actual Meter Data only. Invoices are issued monthly, provided the meter can be read daily or monthly. Customers who have quarterly read meters (BASIC meters) are invoiced quarterly due to the frequency of meter reads.

Q. Do you offer Smoothpay billing?

Yes, if customers with quarterly read meter sites wish to be billed monthly, we can offer Smoothpay Billing. This is when the customer predetermines a set deduction of funds each month and allocates it against the amount owing.

Q. What should I do if I do not want to transfer to Next Business Energy?

A. You have the option to obtain quotes and transfer to another energy retailer if you do not wish to transfer to Next Business Energy. You will not be charged any termination fees or penalty for doing so. For further information on offers that may be available from other energy retailers, please visit Energy Made Easy or, for Victorian customers, Victorian Energy Compare.
